The catalogue describes stuck-pump start and shaking functions, gas-lock ride-through and compatibility with induction and permanent magnet motors.
OILFIELD VARIABLE SPEED DRIVES
Motor control matched to the oilfield duty.
Oilfield ESP systems use the same types of variable speed drive control stations as geothermal installations, generally at lower power ratings. The drive is selected together with the motor and pump duty.
Size the drive
Confirm motor type, power, voltage, current, operating-speed range and the available electrical supply for the selected oilfield installation.
Define control and protection
Agree the monitoring, protective functions, communications and filtering requirements with the selected motor and surface system.
Request the electrical ratings for the selected oilfield drive. The geothermal reference specifications describe the geothermal configuration.
